Roye Design at CASACOR MIAMI 2018
A ritual “is a sequence of activities involving gestures, words, and objects, performed in a sequestered place, and performed according to set sequence”
In this hectic world, we need a personal place that supports us and allows us to have a sense of home - a space to have something or somewhere that makes our living easier and restores balance so that we can be our best.
This is a conceptual space that materializes our daily rituals of sleeping, bathing, resting and expresses them in a visible and tangible way. It can be viewed as an exercise in taking abstract concepts like comfort or sensuality, and through the principals of design, translate them into visual forms that represent them.
The soft palette of materials and forms chosen for this space are meant to build a sense of value and meaning into these everyday experiences. The details and finishes used in this arrangement choreograph these experiences - through the use of color, texture and form - into a narrative arc for the users to flow through.
We hope to find this interaction engages you and offers a moment of escape as if it were designed for you.
